Additional Safety Mirror

Following the installation of safety mirrors, another mirror was requested to be installed on the fence adjacent to the bus shelter. This was purchased, and is now in place.

We are also investigating the flooding on the Common, where there was once a culvert (last seen thirty years ago according to Mike Dobson) This will be dug out in the hope of finding a pipe that can be unblocked.

The issue of potholes remains, and they are getting worse. We do keep reporting them but to no avail. Wherever you go in Cumbria there are holes in the road, and although that is no excuse, I don’t think we are the only ones being ignored.

We are getting closer to having a defibrillator in the village and have had a meeting with a representative from Grange First Responders which was very interesting and productive. The defibrillator is to be ordered and Grange First Responders are holding a training session, on the 26th July, for those keen to update their first aid skills
